TL;DR
- Nirvana Kubernetes Service (NKS) is now live.
- Run Kubernetes on Nirvana with the same configs and workflows you already use, without managing clusters or infrastructure.
- Clusters spin up in minutes with built-in load balancing, persistent storage, and native integration with Nirvana’s modern cloud stack.
- Auto-scaling, monitoring, and enhanced security controls are coming next.
Today we're launching Nirvana Kubernetes Service(NKS): a fully managed Kubernetes offering built natively on Nirvana Cloud.
If your team already runs workloads on Kubernetes, NKS lets you bring those same workflows to Nirvana without changing how you operate. If you've been running on VMs and want the benefits of container orchestration, NKS gives you a managed path to get there.
With this release, Nirvana expands its cloud offering to support a broader class of modern, real-time workloads.
NKS: Handles Cluster setup, control plane, upgrades, and maintenance
Nirvana Kubernetes Service provides a familiar Kubernetes interface without the overhead of managing clusters or infrastructure. Teams can use the same configs and workflows they already know, while Nirvana handles cluster setup, control plane, upgrades, and maintenance at no extra cost.
Clusters can be created in minutes, with managed clusters, load balancer support, persistent storage via ABS, and kubeconfig access available at launch. Upcoming versions will expand on this foundation, auto-scaling for node pools, and monitoring for cluster visibility.
As workloads grow, clusters scale with them. Teams can adjust node pools as needed, with auto-scaling and monitoring coming soon, all while keeping pricing simple with no management fees.
NKS will continue to evolve with features like auto-scaling and monitoring, based on customer needs and usage patterns.
A complete Nirvana stack
With the introduction of NKS, Nirvana now delivers a vertically integrated cloud platform built for latency-sensitive, data-heavy workloads:
- Compute - high clock-speed infrastructure
- Storage -Accelerated Block Storage (ABS) with sustained high IOPS
- Networking - private, low-latency connectivity via Nirvana Connect
- Orchestration - Nirvana Kubernetes Service (NKS)
With the full stack in place, teams can run performance-critical workloads end-to-end on Nirvana - from high-clock compute through container orchestration.
Get started
NKS is available now in your Nirvana dashboard. Log in, head to the Kubernetes tab, and spin up your first cluster.
If you're building latency-sensitive, data-heavy workloads - from real-time systems to high-throughput infrastructure - we'd love to work with you.
