Four steps

How a referral pays out

Nothing to claim. The credit is applied to the next invoice after it qualifies.

  1. Step 1

    Share your link

Anyone who signs up through it is attributed to you.

  2. Step 2

They sign up and add a card

A card on file is not enough on its own. Their $250 is applied to the first bill once there is a card on file and a qualifying workload.

  3. Step 3

    They run 3 months

An active account with a card on file, for three consecutive months, is what qualifies the referral.

  4. Step 4

    You get $250

Credited to your account on the next invoice. Repeat up to ten times.

The rules

What qualifies

Short version: real teams, real workloads, one credit each.

  • They must add a card. A valid payment method on file is what activates the referral. Signups without one never start the clock, for them or for you.
  • New accounts only. The team you refer cannot already be a Nirvana customer or have an account on file.
  • Three consecutive months. Active, with a card on file. A cancelled account resets the clock rather than paying out.
  • One credit per company. Not per seat, per project, or per email domain variant.
  • Ten teams a year. Referring more is welcome; credits stop at ten, so $2,500 is the most any account earns in a calendar year.
  • No self-referrals. Subsidiaries, second domains, and alt emails do not count.
  • Credits, not cash. They apply to invoices and cover them in full until used up. Unspent credit expires 90 days after landing.
  • What counts as running. The referred account has created a VM or agent sandbox and run it for at least one continuous hour, or written at least 1 GB to Accelerated Block Storage.

FAQ

Common questions

When exactly do I get paid?

On the first invoice after the referred team completes three consecutive active months. If your next invoice is smaller than $250, the balance rolls to the following one until it expires.

Can the team I refer stack this with other offers?

Yes. The referral credit stacks with the welcome credit and with annual prepay discounts, and their $250 applies to the first bill either way. A company referred while the welcome campaign is open collects both, so it starts with $500 rather than $250.

What if they signed up before clicking my link?

They have to use your referral code at signup. Attribution is by account, not cookie, so an account that already exists does not qualify and a code cannot be added afterwards. Send the link before they sign up.

Do I need to be a paying customer to refer?

You need a Nirvana account. You do not need to be spending: trial and startup-programme accounts can refer and earn.

Is there a programme for agencies or investors?

Yes, separately. If you expect to send more than ten teams a year, talk to us about a partner agreement instead of the standard programme.

Can I see who signed up through my link?

Not on this page yet. Referrals are matched by hand while we finish the automated version — email april@nirvanalabs.io and we will tell you where each one sits in the three-month clock.

Send it to the team you would have recommended anyway.

Referral credits apply to invoices only, cover them in full until used up, expire 90 days after being applied, and are capped at ten qualifying referrals per referring account per year. Nirvana Labs may withhold credits for referrals it judges to be self-dealing. Full terms
