How to Create a Lumia Mainnet Node with Nirvana Labs
3 min read
Introduction
Lumia Chain is a zkEVM-based blockchain built for high scalability, capital efficiency, and interoperability
In this step-by-step guide, we will be creating a Lumia Mainnet Node. At Nirvana Labs, we support Lumia Mainnet on our flexnet and we also offer dedicated Lumia nodes. In this guide we will be using the flexnet.
Getting Started
First, you will be creating a Nirvana Labs account.
Navigate to https://nirvanalabs.io/ and click on "Sign Up".
You will be required to provide a username, email address, and a password.
On the next page, input your first and last name and click "Done".
You will see that your account is created and you are logged in. Click on the "Dashboard" button in the top right.
Before you create any nodes, you need to verify the email address you used to sign up. An email was automatically sent to your inbox upon account creation. Click the confirmation link in that email to verify.
Once your email has been verified, you will need to add a payment method and select a plan. To add a payment method, navigate to "Node Billing", choose "Payment Preferences", and add a card by clicking the "Add Credit Card" button.
Once your payment method is added, you will need to select a plan.
There are several factors to consider when choosing a plan:
- Your application or infrastructure load requirements
- The number of nodes needed
- Most commonly used requests
- Transactions per second
- Global latency requirements
If you need help figuring out which plan is best for you, reach out to our team.
For this guide, we will be choosing the "Free" plan. To choose a plan, navigate to "Node Billing", choose "Subscriptions", and click "Select Plan."
Once your plan is selected, navigate to the "RPC Nodes" page and click "Create a Node."
Select "Lumia" for the blockchain.
Select "Mainnet" for the network.
Give your node a name and click "Create Node."
Congratulations! You have successfully create a Lumia Mainnet Node on the Nirvana Labs Lumia Flexnet!
To start using your new Lumia Node, simply copy your new endpoint URL (API key redacted above for privacy), and make a POST request to the endpoint.
If you are interested in learning more about the types of requests that can be made to your node, don't forget to check out our docs which can be found here.
